Call for
Student Papers
The Department of Energy (DOE)
Cyber Security Group training conferences provide a forum
for DOE and DOE contractor personnel to share cyber security
information. This year, we are pleased to invite students
attending accredited US colleges and universities to submit
papers for our second annual student competition. Papers
should address a cyber security problem in an interesting
way and present a practical solution (see a
List of Topics on the
CSG conference website for ideas). The PDF file for a
poster announcing this contest is attached to this message.
Paper submissions will be
evaluated by a review committee of Headquarters and field
personnel from DOE and the National Nuclear Security
Administration. The three best papers will be published in
the conference proceedings and awarded Certificates of
Achievement by the DOE Chief Information Officer at the CSG
Training Conference in Denver on April 19, 2005. The award
winners will also be invited to attend the conference and
present their paper or host a poster session. We encourage
students to submit a paper even if they are unable to attend
the conference. (Travel to the conference, lodging, and
meals are the responsibility of the student or his/her
sponsor(s).)
